Driving School Special
The N.V. Westerscheldetunnel provides the opportunity for student drivers to gain experience with underground driving.
Driving schools in the Zeeland region receive coupons for free passages through the tunnel. Chosing the right lane on the toll plaza, at the checkout and 'submerge'for a 6.6 km long drive: passing through the Westerschelde Tunnel is a particular experience. Especially for young and inexperienced drivers. This can lead to uncertainty and in some cases to unsafe situations. The N.V. Westerscheldetunnel pleads therefore that underground driving becomes an integral part of driver training.
